I would like to thank Scott Nugent, the President of Civil Air - The Australian ATC Association, for inviting me to present on 'Proposed Remote Digital Towers in an Australian Context', at the Australian Federation of Air Pilots (AFAP)Safety & Technical Event preceding their 66th Annual Convention, in Adelaide.

Joining me was fellow guest speaker Commander/Captain Tomas Gustafsson SAS - Scandinavian Airlines & Swedish ALPA Flight Safety Committee Member, who shared an international pilot's expert experience of the evolution of remote and digital towers in a European context over the last decade.

Following our presentations, Thomas and I were joined by Scott and Louise Pole, IFALPA Regional VP for a Q&A Panel, hosted by Marcus Diamond, Safety & Technical Manager AFAP. The audience were engaged and kept up firing plenty of interesting questions our way which we were all to happy to answer.

I hope those who participated on the day learned a lot more about remote and digital towers and enjoyed it as much as I did.
